Travel through Daylight Savings Time with these 16 time travel movies

Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, March 14.. While we’re springing forward and losing an hour, we have longer days ahead with more time to soak up the sun.

In honor of Daylight Savings Time, we’re bringing you a list of our favorite time travel movies. You could travel back in time to see our 8 favorite movies with time travel from 2016, but we have even more time travel movies to watch for you now!

Time Travel Movies: Back to the Future

Let’s start this list with a bang! Back to the Future is one of the most iconic time travel movies of all time. Michael J. Fox plays Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd plays Dr. Emmett Brown. This duo takes us back to the ’50s when an experiment goes wrong.

Time Travel Movies: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

This Harry Potter film made our list because of Hermoine’s (played by Emma Watson) use of the Time-Turner. This necklace gave her the ability to attend more classes than time would allow. We love a smart queen!

Time Travel Movies: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Honorary mention is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, because although Brad Pitt’s character is not technically time traveling, he is aging backwards, which has to count for something.

Based on a 1962 book of the same name, this sci-fi adventure film follows a young girl (played by Storm Reid) as she travels through space to find her missing father. Mindy Kaling, Oprah, and Reese Witherspoon star in this space travel movie that challenges our perception of the universe, including time.
