We’ve all be on those long flights and car rides bored out of our minds with no WiFi to boot, wishing we could see what Kimmy Schmidt was up to or desperate to continue binging Gilmore Girls. Luckily, those tragic days are a thing of the past because Netflix is making good on one of its biggest promises. As of today, Netflix users will be able to download certain shows and movies.
Eddy Wu, Netflix’s director of product innovation said that the download option was introduced because, “while many members enjoy watching Netflix at home, we’ve often heard they also want to continue their Stranger Things’ binge while on airplanes and other places where internet is expensive or limited.”
The press release from Netflix states, “Many of your favorite streaming series and movies are already available for download, with more on the way, so there is plenty of content available for those times when you are offline. For example, Orange is The New Black, Narcos and The Crown are available for download today.”

In order to begin downloading all you have to do is update your app, get to downloading and head off on your adventure.
