Primal Scream bring Haim onstage at Glastonbury

Scottish rockers Primal Scream wrapped up their slot at Britain’s Glastonbury festival on Saturday (29Jun13) by bringing newcomers Haim onstage for the finale. The Country Girl hitmakers took to the Pyramid Stage to warm up the crowd ahead of The Rolling Stones’ much anticipated headlining set, and the band thrilled fans by playing its greatest hits as well as new material.
They finished with a bang by inviting sibling trio Haim to sing back-up on their last few songs, including Rocks.
Haim’s first appearance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage on Friday (28Jun13) was nearly marred by disaster – diabetic bassist Este walked off when her blood-sugar ran dangerously low.
She later explained, “I remember not being able to feel my arms, and I was like, ‘This is not a normal feeling when I’m playing music’… I thought that I was going to die in front of 25,000 people.”
The hard-working sisters also performed on The Park Stage on Saturday.
