The Oscar-winning couple bought the Beverly Hills mansion from rocker Slash in 2000 for $3.75 million (£2.3 million) but Thornton put the property on the market last year (12), for almost $10 million (£6.25 million).
The sprawling estate, which features nine bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a library and a recording studio, has now sold for $8 million (£5 million), according to TMZ.com.
