Britney Spears set to unveil first unisex fragrance

Britney Spears is gearing up to unveil her first unisex fragrance.

The popstar established her perfume brand in partnership with Elizabeth Arden back in 2004 and has since gone on to find success with scents such as Curious, Circus and Fantasy.

Britney launched her 24th fragrance, Sunset Fantasy, in January (18), and announced on her Instagram page on Monday (16Jul18) that she will soon release a unisex perfume named Prerogative.
“Prerogative. A fragrance for all. #MyPrerogative,” she captioned a short video showing her dancing in black PVC lingerie in front of a series of TV screens, with the clip concluding with a close-up shot of a dark pink glass perfume flacon with the word Prerogative imprinted on the front.

Earlier, Britney uploaded a video showing a male model unbuttoning his shirt while she spritzed the fragrance on his chest.

By naming the perfume Prerogative, the singer is keeping to her tradition of naming her beauty products after some of her hit tunes.

Britney covered Bobby Brown’s 1988 song My Prerogative in 2004, though changed some of the lyrics to fit in with her perspective as a woman.

“Everybody’s talking all this stuff about me / Why don’t they just let me live? (Tell me why) / I don’t need permission, make my own decisions / That’s my prerogative,” she sings in the track.

Britney has yet to share details about the notes of the Prerogative fragrance or announce a release date.

Previously, the Piece of Me hitmaker explained that her choice of scent depends on her mood.

“I love the idea (of) helping people feel sexy, strong and confident, and I think my fragrances show that. Each of my fragrances represents a different side of my personality and my passions,” she told People.com.
