Chris Brown sued for assault

Singer Chris Brown is more facing yet more legal action – a woman he is accused of assaulting inside a nightclub in June (13) is suing for damages. Deanna Gines claims she was in the V.I.P. section of Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California with the singer when he shoved her to the ground, causing her to fall to her knees.
After leaving the club, the 24 year old filed a police report and admitted herself to a nearby hospital, where medical staff determined she had torn ligaments in her right knee, that could require surgery.
She filed a lawsuit on Wednesday (24Jul13) alleging battery, assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to TMZ.com. She is seeking at least $25,000 (£16,667) from the Fine China performer, after initially claiming she only wanted him to apologise.
Brown maintains he did nothing wrong and the owner of the club has previously backed up his account of his visit to the club, insisting Gines’ story is false.
This is the latest legal issue Brown has been involved with – he is currently charged with a hit-and run, after a minor car accident in May (13). As a result, he is facing four years in prison after his probation relating to the 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna was revoked.
