Classic Santo film pulled from festival over topless scenes

Saucy footage that never appeared in the original 1969 film (aka Santo en El tesoro de Dracula) was unearthed by officials of the estate of late producer Guillermo Calderon Stell and offered to festival director Ivan Trujillo.

The film was then restored with the deleted scenes and Trujillo planned to screen the classic as part of his festival.

But Santo’s son, also a masked wrestler, has urged the festival boss to cancel the screening over fears the unseen scenes of topless female vampires could damage his late father’s saintly reputation.
