Connery hits campaign trail

Actor Sean Connery was out campaigning on behalf of the Scottish National Party in Inverness this week. Connery, who now lives in the Bahamas, told Reuters he would return to his homeland when it wins independence. The veteran 007 actor will join the ranks of Geri Halliwell and Britney Spears who have appeared in Labor Party broadcasts to try to win over younger voters early on in the campaign. A one-time milkman from Edinburgh, Connery sports a “Scotland Forever” tattoo and has been a card-carrying member of the SNP for most of his life.
