Douglas, Zeta-Jones Win Court Ban

Newlyweds Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are saying buh-bye to Hello! and giving the high sign to OK!

The Hollywood couple won a ban against Hello! magazine to publish unauthorized pictures of their wedding. The Oscar-winning actor and his new wife had sold the exclusive rights to their wedding pictures to OK! magazine, Hello!’s biggest rival, Reuters reports.

London’s High Court ordered the magazine to withdraw 740,000 copies of the magazine, but not before 16,000 copies had already gone on sale containing several images of poor quality.

“I have no doubt these images are confidential and on the face of it the defendants are in breach, as alleged, of confidentiality, maybe in contract, and possibly malicious falsehood,” High Court Justice Hunt said.

Hello!’s lawyer, Henry Carr, argued that the ruling to ban the magazine’s photos of the couple had been wrong and filed to overturn the ban.

The Court of Appeal hearing is expected to end Thursday.

Douglas, 56, and Zeta-Jones, 31, were married in a lavish ceremony in Manhattan’s Plaza Hotel on Saturday.
