Dua Lipa drops Want To remix in collaboration with Jaguar

Dua Lipa has collaborated with luxury car brand Jaguar to create an exclusive remix of her latest track Want To.

The British singer confirmed on Tuesday (04Sep18) that she will be releasing a deluxe edition of her 2017 self-titled debut album featuring three brand new songs, including a collaboration with South Korean pop group BLACKPINK and a previously-unheard version of Want To – the highly-anticipated track Dua has been teasing for over a year.

Officially entitled Want To (PACE Remix), the song was created using Jaguar’s custom-made software, which re-creates sounds based on the way user’s drive.

The 23-year-old reportedly took Jaguar’s new, all-electric car I-PACE for a spin, where her style of driving was analysed and used to influence the track’s tempo and arrangement.

The New Rules hitmaker is now inviting her fans to personalise their own version of Want To by using the technology, which can also create remixes based on the user’s Spotify streaming history or by tapping a rhythm on a mobile via the brand’s website.

“I’m so excited to collaborate with Jaguar and push the boundaries of music and technology for my fans,” Dua gushed at the track’s launch in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on Monday, where supermodel Doutzen Kroes and French actress Alix Benezech were also in attendance.

“It’s pretty mind-blowing that anyone can create their own unique version of my single Want To based on the way they drive a Jaguar, or what music they listen to.”

The deluxe album, Dua Lipa The Complete Collection, will be released on Friday.
