George Clooney’s aunt is convinced the Hollywood star is harbouring secret plans to swap movies for politics after he marries his lawyer fiancee. The Oscar-winning actor has been an active supporter of numerous political causes over the years, but has often denied he will ever swap Hollywood for Washington, D.C.
However, Clooney’s aunt, Starla Clooney, is adamant the Gravity star will go public with his political ambitions once he has tied the knot with British lawyer Amal Alamuddin. She tells Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, “George will run for office now, especially after his marriage to Amal, as that will open so many doors for him. (Clooney’s father) Nick ran for political office… and he lost. But being married will make George look more grounded and less of a playboy and that will be a big boost for him. And make him look more serious.”
Clooney’s wedding is rumoured to be taking place in Europe later this year (14).
