Hurley tears up paying tribute to Lauder

The 75 year old, who co-created the Pink Ribbon campaign for breast cancer awareness, died at her home in New York in November (11) after losing her own battle with cancer.

Hurley, who has been the face of Lauder’s charity drive for several years, joined mourners at Manhattan’s Lincoln Center on Monday to celebrate the life of the cosmetics entrepreneur and activist, and she reveals it was an emotional event.

Taking to Twitter.com after the ceremony, Hurley writes, “Evelyn Lauder’s memorial was very moving. My stiff upper lip hid behind my wobbly lower one & I sobbed all the way through my speech.”
