James Corden and TV producer pal lead overall Emmy Awards nominees

Actor, comedian, and U.S. late-night host James Corden and his producer have landed the most Emmy nods among TV talent.

The British The Late Late Show star and Ben Winston now lead the 2019 Emmys after Television Academy officials updated the list of this year’s nominees following producer credit vetting.

Corden is now the most nominated performer and producer with seven nominations, while Winston leads all individual nomininees with eight.

They both received nominations for Outstanding Variety Talk Series and Outstanding Interactive Program for The Late Late Show with James Corden, according to Deadline, Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media Within an Unscripted Program for The Late Late Show Karaoke Primetime Special 2019, and Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live From Liverpool, among other nods.

The 71st Emmy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on September 22, 2019.
