Hunky actor Jason Momoa shared a sweet video call he made to his grandma in character from the set of his Aquaman film in Australia.

Momoa has been filming scenes for the movie, which is set to open in theaters in December 2018, on Queensland’s Gold Coast, and appeared to be missing his beloved grandma while filming on location, so he chose to contact her while on set and in full costume.

The action star posted a multi-panel image on social media of himself split with his grandma in which he’s in full Aquaman mode, shirtless with a tattooed neck and sporting the aquamarine-coloured contact lenses he wears in the upcoming DC comics film.

“Got to FaceTime my grandma for the first time as Aquaman,” he wrote in the caption accompanying the sweet snap. “It was priceless. Love u grams #raisediniowa #grandmasboy #missyougrams #meandmabel. Aloha j.”

His grandmother was seen looking slightly puzzled as she chatted to her famous grandson.
The 37-year-old actor has been filming the $160 million budget film alongside co-stars Amber Heard, who stars as the webbed one’s love interest Mera, Nicole Kidman, who plays his mother Atlanna, and Watchmen star Patrick Wilson as Orm, the Ocean Master, the hero’s villainous half-brother, in the film, which is helmed by Australian director James Wan.

Momoa will make his official debut as Aquaman in the upcoming Justice League movie, which will hit theaters in November (17).
