Pixie Lott performs for friends of tragic schoolboy

Singer Pixie Lott stunned students at a school in Kent, England on Wednesday (12Mar14) when she showed up for an unannounced concert to honour a fallen pal. Touched by one pupil’s passionate essay about the death of his 15-year-old school friend Ben Daniels, who died after collapsing during a soccer training session in 2011, Lott agreed to perform at Ravens Wood School.
Following the tragedy, Ravens Wood teachers and students have become closely involved with charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), which boasts Lott as a patron.
She sang three songs and then answered questions from thrilled students.
Lott has been a patron of CRY for four years and previously wrote an awareness piece for Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper about soccer star Fabrice Muamba’s collapse in 2012.
Paul Daniels, the father of the young student who died, was in the audience for her impromptu school show.
