Production on new Arrested Development season begins

The TV comedy won six Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe during its original run from 2003 to 2006, and last year (11) it was announced that the dysfunctional Bluth family would be back to start filming 10 new episodes.

Production on the project began on Tuesday (07Aug12) and Bateman confirmed the news by posting a photo from the set on his Twitter.com page alongside the caption, “First day. Away we go…”

Arrested Development also starred Jeffrey Tambor, Portia de Rossi, David Cross and Will Arnett, who are all expected to resume their characters, and actor/director Ron Howard has agreed to return for his role as show narrator.
