Rocketman star Taron Egerton will lend his voice to the audiobook edition of Elton John’s upcoming memoir.
The actor, who portrayed the rock legend on the big screen, will read the much-anticipated book, Me, as part of a planned 13-hour recording.
The release, which marks the musician’s first autobiography, chronicles the ups and downs in his career and personal life.
“Elton John is a fascinating man, at times incredibly intimidating and yet very vulnerable; I have never met anyone like him,” Egerton said in a press release. “I was passionate about my role as Elton in the movie Rocketman and this feels like the perfect closing chapter to the whole experience.
“I am honored to have been asked to narrate Elton’s autobiography and I’m excited to get started.”
Me will drop on October 15, 2019.
