Teyana Taylor battling illness to continue tour

R&B star Teyana Taylor is fighting through illness to press on with her tour dates.

The No Manners singer hit the stage in Dallas, Texas on Saturday night (25Aug18) and alerted fans to the fact she wasn’t feeling 100 per cent, but vowed to push through her ailment to perform her usual energetic set.

Audience members praised her work ethic on social media after the gig, and on Monday (27Aug18), Teyana thanked her followers for their unwavering support.

“Goodmorninggggggg (sic) I’m STILL sick as hell,” she posted on Instagram, alongside footage from her set, “but I can’t stop thinking about the show in Dallas!! Y’all really showed up & showed out for me so I showed out for y’all, sick & all and I don’t regret one minute of it!

“Thank you guys for all the genuine love & energy in that room that night! I forever (love) U DALLAS (sic)!”

Teyana’s tour schedule gave her two nights off before her next stop in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday night (28Aug18), but she was already promising to deliver her best, regardless of her health condition.
“#KTSETOUR NEXT STOP DENVERRRRRR!! YALL READY (sic)??????,” she added. “I’m tryna keep the SAME ENERGY WITH YALL SICK OR NOT!!!!! I will be live at The Ogden Theatre 2MORROW… (sic)!!!”

It’s not been the smoothest of treks for Teyana, as she initially hit the road as part of the Later That Night Tour with fellow singer Jeremih earlier this month (Aug18).

However, just days into the run of shows, she abruptly announced she was no longer willing to put up with the alleged disrespect and mistreatment she had received from Jeremih, and declared she was pulling out of the concerts, which were due to run until early September.

She set about planning her own gigs for the same schedule, before it was revealed that she would be taking over as the headliner of the Later That Night Tour, which was renamed after her recent K.T.S.E. (Keep That Same Energy) album, and would no longer feature Jeremih. Support act Dani Leigh remains on the bill.
