Tom Hanks’ Broadway hit recoups investment in eight weeks

Tom Hanks’ Broadway show Lucky Guy has become big business after recouping its initial financial outlay in eight weeks. The Nora Ephron play has been playing to capacity houses since the start of previews in March (13), and on Thursday (02May13) producers announced that the production has moved into profit after making $3.6 million (£2.25 million).
The news comes just two days after the hit show picked up six Tony Award nominations, including Best Play and Leading Actor (Hanks).
