The Deliverance star recently reconciled with his daughter Angelina Jolie following an eight-year estrangement, and he is just getting to know the actress’ six-strong brood of adopted and biological children.
And Voight, who will soon relocate from Los Angeles to Texas to film new series Lonestar, is determined not to miss another moment of his family growing up – he is having internet phone system Skype installed to stay in contact with Jolie and her family.
He tells People.com, “It’s hard for me to be away from my grandkids, yes, but I’ll stay in touch with them. Thank God we have this technology, and you know, we use all of it.
“We’re just setting it (Skype) up now. Anyway, I love being in touch with the family.”
Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt own homes all over the world and recently spent several months living in Venice, Italy while the actress filmed scenes for her new movie The Tourist.
