The Sonics return with first album since 1967

Cult sixties garage act The Sonics have announced plans to release their first album in almost 60 years. The Washington state-based band, considered among the forefathers of the grunge movement, haven’t released an album since 1967.
This Is the Sonics will be released at the end of March (15) and it features original members Jerry Roslie, Larry Parypa, and Rob Lind, alongside The Kingsmen star Freddie Dennis and Dusty Watson.
The original trio is planning to tour America in April (15).
Parypa recently featured in Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl’s documentary series Sonic Highways.
