Hey all you men out there — if finding your perfect scent was one of your 99 Problems, you’ll soon be able to cross that shizzz off your list. Today, rap mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, announced he will debut his first fragrance, Gold. (Yes, he named it Gold.) It’s also the first scent to be formulated with notes of cash-money. (Kidding, of course.)
In actuality, Jay Z worked with Firmenich perfumer Ilias Ermenidis to create the white fougère eau de toilette, which includes notes of Sicilian Bergamot, teak wood and bourbon vanilla. The collection, which includes body lotion and soap, will launch Nov. 29th. Retailers are already gearing up for fan demand. Macy’s in New York City has carved out 2 weeks dedicating an interactive window display that will reflect passerby’s as golden avatars of themselves (can you say Goldmember?). Jay will be plastering his face digitally all over New York City with billboards, buses and blogs. If Hov’s fragrance performs like any of Beyonce’s seven parfums, it’s sure to be just like his music – an instant hit.
