I have wavy hair that’s prone to frizziness and general sloppiness. It’s also crazy thick: my hair stylist (hey, Nadia!) always reminds me of that. It’s naturally a very, very dark brown, bordering on black that doesn’t take kindly to dye (sigh). Oh, and if it’s humid out? It basically becomes an afro.

My goal in life is to have sleek, smooth hair, and I’m sold on anything that has the two words in the product name like: L’Oreal EverSleek Reparative Smoothing Shampoo. To get my ends in shape, I use the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner because it makes my hair super shiny and soft. While my hair is still damp, I run a dime-sized amount of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream just on my ends to keep them from getting dry and brittle. I usually let it air-dry but if I’m feeling extra fancy, I spritz TreSemmé Heat Tamer Spray (it never leaves my hair crunchy or oily, which is a miracle of sorts), and get to stylin’ with my CHI straight iron. Once my hair resembles something other than a yeti, I use the Alterna Smooth Frizz-Control Styling Lotion to zhuzh it.
