Every year, Pantone announces the color that will define us for the next 12 months. While 2012’s Tangerine Tango and 2013’s Emerald didn’t quite hit it out the park for us, we were still excited to hear the color experts’ announcement this morning. Radiant Orchid, a hybrid of pink and purple, is 2014’s Color of the Year. We couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Finally — a color that’s not just chic but wearable and flattering!
Before shelves sell out of the shade or the streets look more like a botanical garden, we suggest scooping up the must-have hue now (we even included one frock that would make a fantastic New Year’s Eve dress).
