Young Dolph selling promotional bulletproof vests

Rapper Young Dolph is seeking to cash in on his recent shooting by offering up a bulletproof vest as part of a line of new merchandise.
The hip-hop star, real name Adolph Thornton, Jr., was hit multiple times during an incident outside the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles in September (17), when he was hospitalised in a critical condition.
He underwent surgery and was subsequently released from doctors’ care last week (12Oct17).
He is pressing ahead with plans to debut his new album, Thinking Out Loud, on Friday (20Oct17), and to promote the big launch, Young Dolph has started advertising a padded black vest with the word ‘Bulletproof’ embroidered across the chest.
However, the $85 (£65) item is not sold with the plates which would actually make the vest bulletproof.
A disclaimer on the rapper’s website reads: “This item is solely the plate carrier vest, MOLLE plates sold separately.”
