The biopic of the year goes to Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis. The film made more than $284 million worldwide at the box office. Critics and movie-goers alike have praised Austin Butler, who starred as the king of ‘Rock n’ Roll.’

In our review of the film, we take a look at Luhrmann’s approach to an icon as big as Elvis.

“If you’ve seen Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby or Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes’ Romeo + Juliet, you’re probably aware of Baz Luhrmann’s larger-than-life, hyper-realism style. Elvis captures the same grandiose essence with fast-moving scenes, bright lights, and an ear-catching soundtrack.”

Brendan Fraser’s Return to Hollywood

Brendan Fraser has made the ultimate comeback, starring in the recent A24 film The Whale. To celebrate the actor’s return to movies, Hollywood.com took a look at his career and his memorable films like George of the Jungle, The Mummy, and Gods and Monsters.

After the premiere of The Whale at the Venice Film Festival, Brendan Fraser received a 6 minute standing ovation. Our review of the movie welcomes back Fraser to film and Hollywood with open arms.

“We spend a lot of time focused on Charlie’s inner turmoil. Fraser lets his thoughts transpire on his face, with a longing sadness. But the moments most delicate to me are his shimmers of happiness or passion Charlie shares. It’s all Brendan Fraser shining through.”
