Kanye West reignited his feud with Taylor Swift by ranting about the controversial line in his song Famous during a show in her hometown.

The rapper has been embroiled in a feud with the Shake It Off singer ever since the release of his track Famous earlier this year (16). It includes the lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**ch famous,” words Taylor insisted she never gave her blessing to, but after months of back and forth, it was revealed Taylor did actually give her permission in July (16) when his wife Kim Kardashian released videos of a phone call between Kanye and Taylor.

Kanye performed at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, in Tennessee, where Taylor and her family moved to aged 14. And on Saturday (24Sep16) and told the audience, “This is why you should always say how you really feel” before launching into the track, which he halted after the infamous line to embark on a rant about the lyrics.

“How you feel about that tonight? I feel like I’m in a movie right now or something,” he said. “So many people told me, ‘You’ve gotta take that line off the song. You got to play it safe’, but this is what rap music is. This is what art is. Saying how you feel. And this song is how I feel.”

In video footage of the rant, fans can be heard chanting “F**k Taylor Swift”.

Kanye asked the DJ to “run that s**t back” and he performed the opening again, and according to reports, he performed that section three times in total and let the crowd sing most of the controversial line. He told the crowd, “I need to hear that loud in Nashville… I need to hear that so loud in Nashville.”

Taylor moved to New York in 2014 but she still has a home in Nashville. She was spotted dining out at The Waverly Inn in the Big Apple on Tuesday night (27Sep16) with Cara Delevingne, Lorde, Suki Waterhouse and Jack Antonoff.
