The life affirming news that the recently separated Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito would be getting back together offered the people of America a refreshed faith in celebrity couples. Maybe some of these kids can make it through the long haul after all. But on the tails of the joyous news is another story of a Hollywood pair fallen victim to the fickle tides: Ryan Seacrest, who rivals the Cheers and It’s Always Sunny stars only in not being able to reach things on high shelves, has reportedly broken up with actress/dancer Julianne Hough.

People reports the news via unnamed sources, who allegedly affirm that the hectic schedules of the omni-employed Seacrest and rising star Hough were a large factor in the decision to end the two-year relationship. The sources add that the split was civil, with both parties intending to remain friends. Reps for Seacrest and Hough were not available for comment.

But the future is bright for Seacrest and Hough alike. As the former has his hand in every third television project in existence, and with Hough adding more film roles to her upcoming roster, not to mention her developing Starz program Blackpool, we predict only success for each.
