Orange Is The New Black star Samira Wiley is married.
The actress wed her longtime partner Lauren Morelli on Saturday (25Mar17) surrounded by family and friends in a ceremony held in Palm Springs, California, People reports.
The confetti-themed nuptials were a non-traditional event, and Wiley’s parents officiated the ceremony, according to Martha Stewart Weddings.
Even their wedding music was out of the ordinary, with This Is How We Do It by Montell Jordan played during the recessional, and Justin Bieber’s Baby accompanying their entrance into the wedding reception.
Christian Siriano designed both of the brides’ dresses, with Samira wearing an off-the-shoulder white gown, while Lauren was decked out in a tailored jumpsuit complete with an intricate neckline and a flowing cape.

The location in Palm Springs was special to the couple, as it was where Orange Is the New Black writer Lauren popped the question to Samira back in October (16) with a yellow gold and diamond engagement ring.
Lauren split from her husband Steve Basilone in 2014 after she realized she was gay while writing for the Netflix series. After the split, she found comfort in Samira, and subsequently fell in love with the 29-year-old actress.
“Samira became my outlet, and through that process I fell in love with her,” she told Out magazine in December (16). “But I thought, ‘This will be the one that got away’. Being with her felt too good to be true.”
Almost two years after she began dating Samira, Lauren planned to propose before they headed out to Palm Springs on vacation so they could use their holiday to celebrate.
“I was so nervous and terrified she knew it was coming, but she was so shocked that I couldn’t get her to stop crying,” she said of the proposal.
