Actress Cherry Jones has signed on to appear in the second season of the top TV drama The Handmaid’s Tale, as the mother of Elisabeth Moss’ character.
The revered stage and screen star will portray a staunch feminist named Holly in flashback sequences, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 61-year-old will join previously confirmed guest stars, including Marisa Tomei and Sydney Sweeney. The second season of The Handmaid’s Tale is currently in production.
The first season recently picked up a string of awards at the Critics’ Choice Awards and Golden Globes.
