Actor/director Fisher Stevens has secretly married his longterm girlfriend and become a first-time father at the age of 53.
The Hackers star has been dating his filmmaking partner, producer Alexis Bloom, for several years, and he has casually revealed they are now husband and wife – and parents to a newborn daughter, named Paloma.
Fisher broke the news to the New York Post’s Page Six column while discussing the couple’s recent documentary about the bond between late mother and daughter Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher.
During the brief interview at the first anniversary celebration for New York’s Metrograph theatre, Stevens admitted he and Alexis are having trouble coming to terms with the passing of their close pal Carrie.
“Lexie, my wife and I, we just feel like we are gonna call Carrie and get her (to pick up the phone),” he said. “We had a baby recently, and Carrie sent a bunch of clothes to us. Paloma wears her clothes. Carrie is in our thoughts. She was amazing.”
Stevens did not share any further details about the couple’s wedding or the birth of their little girl.
His film, Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, debuted on HBO in January (17), just weeks after the iconic actresses passed away, a day apart, in December (16).
