Jamie Dornan lands Hugo Boss fragrance campaign

Jamie Dornan has been tapped as the new face of Hugo Boss‘ BOSS The Scent.

The popular fragrance is available in versions for men and women, and the Irish actor will front the latest campaign alongside Dutch model Birgit Kos, who has previously walked the runway for Fendi, Alexandre Vauthier, Versace and Roberto Cavalli.

Jamie, who enjoyed a modelling career after appearing on British television show Model Behaviour in 2001, says he is honoured to embody the brand’s classic ethos.

“For me, Boss represents sophistication, masculinity and elegance,” he said in a statement released to WWD.

Of the collaboration, Birgit, 22, added: “Working with Jamie was great. I could not have asked for a better person to work with.”

The Fifty Shades of Grey star has partnered with Hugo Boss in the past, having showcased the label’s ready-to-wear garments and underwear from 2006 to 2008. He also appeared in the German brand’s fall/winter 2011 campaign.

Other luxury collaborations include Aquascutum, Armani, Dior and Calvin Klein, while the actor has been lucky enough to pose with fashion icons including Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, as well as actress Eva Mendes.

Though Jamie is pleased to announce his latest venture with Hugo Boss, acting remains his priority and later this year (18) he can be seen in movies including Otto Bathurst’s Robin Hood and Matthew Heineman’s A Private War. The 36-year-old even previously admitted that he never believed modelling was his calling.

“I’ve never felt massively satisfied from standing there while someone takes my photograph,” he told The Evening Standard in 2014. “It’s never given me a thrill, but it would take a very foolish man to turn down the stuff that was offered to me.”
