Actress Jane Fonda will celebrate her 80th birthday with a benefit event featuring performances from James Taylor and Carole King.
The Barbarella icon will be honored for her life achievements at the Eight Decades of Jane gala, which will be hosted in Atlanta, Georgia on 9 December (17) by officials at her Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential foundation (GCAPP).
Her ex-husband, media magnate Ted Turner, will be among the guests in attendance, as well as her actor friends Sally Field, Diane Lane, Rosie O’Donnell, and Troy Garity, Fonda’s son with her second former husband, Tom Hayden.
They will all be served an eight-course meal, with each round representing a decade of the birthday girl’s life, reports The Associated Press.
The bash will be an early celebration for Fonda; she officially reaches the age milestone on 21 December (17).
The actress founded the GCAPP non-profit in 1995 to help prevent teen pregnancies and educate adolescents on good health.
