Jennifer Connelly impressed with David Bowie’s non-diva attitude

David Bowie gave his young Labyrinth co-star Jennifer Connelly a good standard of how a star behaves when she worked with him on the 1986 movie.
The actress was just 15 when she tackled the late rock icon’s Goblin King character in the beloved fantasy film, and she admits the way he acted when the cameras weren’t rolling left a big impact on her.
“It certainly was an amazing experience being part of that movie, working with David,” she tells WENN. “He was funny and he made everyone feel comfortable. He was gentle and sweet with me. From what I remember, he was just kind to everyone in the crew and would joke with the crew. He was very approachable and made it easy.
“I was very impressed with someone of that stature taking the time to make everyone around him feel at ease and feel welcome and respected. He set a really nice example.”
