British actor Julian Sands is set to play the father of the character he portrayed in 1985 movie A Room With A View in a new stage version of the E.M. Forster novel.
Sands played George Sands in the Merchant Ivory film, but now he’s tackling the role the late Denholm Elliott created for the big screen in a new play adapted by Kate McAll.
The new version, which will premiere at the James Bridges Theater in Los Angeles next month (Mar19), will feature Game of Thrones’ Eugene Simon as George Poldark actress Eleanor Tomlinson as Lucy Honeychurch – the role Helena Bonham Carter played in the film.
Each of the four performances will be recorded live in front of an audience for a future radio broadcast and digital download.
