Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam’s estranged husband is seeking joint custody of their baby daughter.

The former The Cosby Show star split from Ed Hartwell last summer (16), days after announcing her pregnancy. He subsequently filed for divorce and questioned the paternity of the unborn child.

Pulliam gave birth to Ella Grace in late January (17), and Hartwell accepted he was the father after a DNA test proved it, and he is now seeking joint custody of the child.

He has filed new documents in their divorce case, and he has submitted a letter from his ex-wife, The Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star Lisa Wu, to support his petition for joint custody, according to TMZ.com.

In the letter, she praised him as a father and wrote, “I am never worried about my child when he is with his dad, I know his dad will do everything within his power to love, protect and provide for EJ while he is not with me… I am positive that (Hartwell) will put his daughter’s best interest first as he has shown with my children.”

Hartwell also states in the documents he is happy to pay child support.

Pulliam, who married the former American footballer on New Year’s Day in 2016 after a whirlwind romance, reportedly wants him nowhere near her daughter.

Hartwell was married to Wu between 2005 and 2011 and they have a nine-year-old son together. He also helped raise her two sons from her previous marriage.
