Kristin Chenoweth reworks I Will Always Love You with ‘queen’ Dolly Parton

Kristin Chenoweth has recruited Dolly Parton to join her in the studio for a new rendition of the country legend’s beloved ballad I Will Always Love You.
The Wicked star opted to record the 1973 track, which Whitney Houston helped turn into a mega hit, for her seventh studio album, For The Girls – and she asked the track’s composer to join her.
“I Will Always Love You is a song I’ve loved since I was a child,” Kristin tells Entertainment Tonight. “I used to think, ‘One day I’m going to sing that song’. Little did I know that I’d get to sing it with the queen herself.”
Chenoweth also covers songs that were hits for Barbra Streisand, Patsy Cline, and Judy Garland on the album, stating, “I really wanted to pay homage to all the women singers who have influenced me over the years. I wanted to make something that men could also enjoy, but this is by the girls and for the girls.”
