Michael Caine to play miserable author in Best Sellers

Michael Caine is to play a grumpy author in Anthony Grieco’s 2015 Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting Award-winning project Best Sellers.
The movie will mark Canadian actress and writer Lina Roessler’s feature directorial debut.
Currently up for grabs at the Cannes Film Festival, Best Sellers revolves around a has-been writer on a book tour with a young editor and starts shooting in Canada this summer (Jul19), according to Deadline.
“Best Sellers may become one of Michael Caine’s greatest and funniest triumphs,” producer Mark Damon tells the outlet. “With ‘Bulls**te’ as his rallying cry, Caine weaves a character that is hilarious in its rage, yet so touching in its vulnerability. Best Sellers is just a wonderful script.”
Meanwhile, Caine is currently in post-production on Medieval and Angelina Jolie’s new film Come Away.
