Scott Speedman crashed Ellen DeGeneres’ pool while she was away

Actor Scott Speedman had a showdown with Ellen Degeneres on her TV show on Tuesday (06Jun17) after confessing he splashed around in her pool while she was out of town over 20 years ago.
The Underworld star was a guest on Ellen’s show when the host asked him about his trespassing exploits when he first arrived in Los Angeles in 1996.
“You have been to my house,” DeGeneres said to Speedman. “Not my house now, but a house I lived in long time ago.”
“Yes, I have,” Speedman replied.
“I was not there,” DeGeneres added. “Who invited you?”
The actor went on to admit he had been drinking when he agreed to got to Ellen’s home following a screen test for a movie.
“My memory on that is a little fuzzy,” he said. “It was the first time I had ever been to Los Angeles. I was here for 24 hours. I got flown in for 24 hours, got off the plane, did a screen test, met up with a bunch of other crazy Canadians. We drank a little too much and at some point someone said, ‘Hey, we’re going to Ellen’s house to swim in her pool’.
“So, I was like, ‘OK, that’s cool. I’ll do that, no problem’. So, I ended up crashing your pool drunkenly until 4am. And, you weren’t there.”
“No, I wasn’t,” DeGeneres responded. “I learned today that that’s what my assistants were doing when I was out of town. We had a suspicion that that was happening…”
Scott assured Ellen it only happened once.
