YouTube influencer Tana Mongeau’s engagement ring cost just $125 (£100).
Bella Thorne’s ex-girlfriend became engaged after social media star Jake Paul proposed during Tana’s 21st birthday party last month (Jun19)
The bride-to-be took to her Instagram Story account and revealed her new fiance had proposed with a cake that had “Will you marry me, Tana?” written on it.
“JAKE JUST PROPOSED,” she cooed, showing off her new engagement ring to her 1.4 million followers.
But the item is reportedly fake, according to PageSix sources, who have revealed the piece is a cubic zirconia ring from the budget brand Adina’s Jewels. The publication also notes the faux diamond retails for just $125.
The affordable accessory is surprising given the pair has a combined estimated net worth of more than $12 million (£9 million).
Thorne and Mongeau split earlier this year (19) and Bella made the break-up official in February (19) as she urged followers to stop asking her about the Internet personality.
“Tana and I aren’t together anymore, pls (please) stop asking,” she writes. “We love U guys (sic).”
Bella and Tana had an open relationship with the actress’ then-boyfriend Mod Sun.
