Tom Hanks scolded by Disney bosses over Toy Story 4

Tom Hanks was reprimanded by Disney bosses for confirming their plans to release a new Toy Story movie.
The Saving Private Ryan star recently announced he is reprising his role as Woody in the fourth installment of Pixar’s animated franchise, which is set for release in 2018.
However, Tom was sworn to secrecy by bosses at Pixar’s parent company Disney, and he got into trouble for talking about the new film. The actor reveals he received a stern phone call from Disney’s legal team who scolded him for spilling the secret.
“We are working on Toy Story 4 right now,” he tells U.K. talk show host Graham Norton. “A while ago someone stuck a microphone in my face and asked if there was going to be a new film and I said yes and I then got a call from the Disney lawyers who said I couldn’t say anything about the new film because it affects the Disney stock market price. I said, ‘Hey, I’m sorry but let me point out, I am Woody, pal!'”
Tom goes on to insist that voice acting is harder than it looks, adding, “It’s really hard work – honestly. Woody is very tense and the recording sessions go on for four or five hours so I always come out of a session with my diaphragm having had a workout. It is exhausting.”
While working on Toy Story 4, Tom has grown a moustache and dyed his hair grey for a new movie role as Captain Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger, the hero pilot who saved hundreds of passengers by landing an airplane on the Hudson River in New York in 2009.
Tom admits his new look has made him the butt of many jokes: “I was in a restaurant the other day and two people stopped by the table, the first said, ‘Mr. Hanks, have you coloured your hair for a role?’ and I said, ‘Yes, yes I have.’ And another woman said, “Mr. Hanks, have you stopped colouring your hair for a role?’ And I thought, ‘Get her out of here!'”
During his appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Tom also revealed the phrases that fans shout at him in the street, explaining that they used to quote Apollo 13, then Forrest Gump but they have now settled on a word from his 2000 movie Cast Away.
“It used to be ‘Houston, we have a problem,’ then it was, ‘Run Forrest run,’ now people just shout ‘Wilson!’ It’s the same everywhere – Wilson is universal,” he adds.
Wilson was the name of a volleyball that Tom’s character kept as a companion while stranded on a desert island in Cast Away.
