Adam Driver can’t watch his own films

Adam Driver refuses to watch his own movies because he can’t stand sitting through all his mistakes.
The Star Wars villain is always in his seat at premieres before the film starts but then he finds a bar and only returns for the final credits.
He admits he hasn’t seen one of his movies for years.
“When the lights go down I go to, like, a little room and I wait there until it’s over, drink, and then I sneak back in and pop out as if I was there the entire time,” he explains.
“Cannes (Film Festival) is so formal that you have to come back, but usually I just leave and see everybody later. I hate watching myself. I’ve seen some of my movies, which is why I don’t want to again. I don’t want to see myself making mistakes forever on film.
“I show up and do my part and then whatever happens with it is beyond my responsibility.”
The BlackKklansman star believes actors who do enjoy watching their films have to watch them at least five times to “divorce the fact that you’re in it”.
“It’s just pure terror the first time but I’m not going to watch it four more times so that I could not think that it’s me doing it,” he adds.
