Orlando Bloom: ‘I’ve been in therapy since I was four’

Orlando Bloom has grown up with the benefits of therapy after his mum sought out professional help to explain why his stepfather wasn’t his biological dad.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star claims he has been in therapy since he was four after realising he and his dad didn’t share the same blood.
“I’ve done a lot of therapy around this,” the actor told shock jock Howard Stern. “My mum had me in therapy at four around this. It probably helped with my emotional intelligence somehow.”
As a result, Bloom doesn’t shy away from therapy and has turned to counselling to strengthen his relationship with fiancee Katy Perry, so their bond is solid by the time they tie the knot.
He also won’t hesitate to offer professional help to Flynn, his son from his marriage to Miranda Kerr, should he ever need it, joking, “My son has got, like, (Snapchat boss) Evan Spiegel as his stepdad. Like, one of the titans of industry. Miranda, the supermodel, and Katy Perry (as his future stepmother). I’m just like, ‘We need to get him in therapy right now’.”
