The Billboard Beats: Justin Timberlake’s ‘Suit & Tie’ Knocked Out of Top 10

ALT

Is it possible that Justin Timberlake has worn out his welcome so quickly? Timberlake made his comeback to music a few weeks ago with his single “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z — and if the Billboard Hot 100 Chart is any indication, it doesn’t have quite the staying power he hoped for. Last week, the single showed promise as it jumped 80 spots on the chart, peaking at No. 4. But this week, the throwback-to-funk tune just couldn’t hold on — it is missing from the top 10 completely.

Thursday, “Suit & Tie” moved down to No. 13 from its fourth position spot. But staying strong, however, is Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ ridiculously catchy rap, “Thrift Shop,” featuring Wanz. The song held onto the No. 1 spot for the second week in a row, with Bruno Mars still “Locked” into No. 2.
