Alexa Chung and Friends Killed It At Her Book Party

After years of following her sartorial selections, we finally get to peek into the mind of Alexa Chung. Last night marked the launch of her book, It, kicking off with a soiree fit for — well — Alexa Chung.

Sporting a navy and black Carven dress (swoon) and nude makeup (double swoon) Chung invited some of London’s finest to join her for vodka cocktails and cinnamon sugar doughnuts, while model Daisy Lowe and brother Alfie Goffrey took to the DJ decks.

Pals Pixie Geldof, designer Henry Holland, and TV presenter Nick Grimshaw were all in attendance. But it was British model Laura Bailey who really wowed us with her pink printed maxi dress, top right.

After an anxious tweet on Tuesday: “Anxiety dream waiting to happen: signing copies of my book 5-7pm at Liberty in LDN tomorrow. Keep me company? #tumbleweed,” Chung herself was late to the party due to the amount of fans that flocked to her book signing earlier in the day.

But we’d say the event was a rousing success. And the book itself — which includes her own photographs and drawings — sounds cool, of course.

“It’s definitely not an autobiography, but it’s me writing,” she told Vogue recently. ” So in a way, it probably will have that element.”

We can’t wait to get our hands on a copy. It comes with a vodka cocktail and doughnuts too right?
