Lance Bass To Host Gay Version Of ‘The Bachelor’ On Logo

We’re getting a bit bored of dating shows. They’re filled with so many cliches — the bleach blond, big-breasted women, the obviously scripted conversation, the muscly men giving roses to vapid-eyed girls with fake lashes who just want to be on TV. It looks like Logo has a new series that will squash classic dating show tropes and deliver us something totally fresh. Plus, it’s hosted by Lance Bass!

Logo has announced Prince Charming, a gay dating show hosted by our favorite boy-bander. The reality dating competition features a cast entirely made up of gay men. Thank the TV gods for this fresh take on such a stale subject. Plus, men date men in real life, so why haven’t we had a series like this before? It only makes sense.

According to EW, the show will follow a cast of 13 suitors who live together and compete for the heart of “one of the nation’s most eligible gay heartthrobs.” The prize at the end of the show is similar to The Bachelor — you get love and a committed relationship from a total hottie (at least until the cameras shut off). Basically, Prince Charming is a gay version of The Bachelorwhich sounds fantastic.

There’s no word on who the eligible bachelor is for this season. We wish it was Lance Bass because then we’d have a chance, but at least we get him as the host!

Prince Charming is currently in production and set to air this fall.
