Letitia Wright to star in acclaimed female-led anthology drama

Black Panther star Letitia Wright is to star in critically acclaimed British anthology drama I Am.

The show debuted last year (2019), with a trilogy of episodes each focusing on one woman’s story, with Samantha Morton, Gemma Chan, and Vicky McClure starring.

Letitia has now filmed an episode of a new three-part series from creator Dominic Savage, I Am Danielle – playing the title character.

For the drama she will be joined by co-stars CJ Beckford and Sophia Brown.

On working with Letitia, Dominic adds: “Making this film with Letitia was so exciting, invigorating, and full of creative joy. It is exactly how I love to work. In complete partnership and understanding. We were so in tune with the story we were telling, and each day was purely instinctive, challenging, and always truthful. I’m proud to be able to bring this story of love with all its difficulties to the screen.”

The new series, including I Am Victoria starring Suranne Jones and Ashley Walters, is scheduled to debut on U.K. network Channel 4 later this year.
