Alan White rejoins Yes on tour following operation

Drummer Alan White is set to rejoin Yes for their forthcoming Japan tour.
The musician was forced to bow out of the English rock band’s European tour earlier this year (16) after requiring urgent surgery on his back to treat a damaged disc. His recovery meant that he also had to sit out of the U.S. tour over the summer (16).
But the band have now announced he will be returning to perform live with them for their six date tour in Japan, which is due to start in Tokyo on 21 November (16).
“YES is excited to announce that drummer Alan White, who had to sit out the band’s recent U.S. summer tour due to back surgery, will officially rejoin his band mates Steve Howe (guitar), Jon Davison (vocals), Billy Sherwood (bass) and Geoff Downes (keyboard) on their Japanese tour this November,” a statement posted on their official website reads.
Jay Schellen, who filled in for White, 67, while he was recuperating, will also travel to Japan and “sit in until White is fully healed”.
“I’m greatly looking forward to getting back on stage with my bandmates to play YES music once again for our devoted audiences” White added.
