Anson Mount lands Black Bolt role

The actor who played Britney Spears’ love interest in Crossroads has been cast as the leader of The Inhumans.
Anson Mount has won the coveted role of Black Bolt in TV series Marvel’s Inhumans, which will chronicle the comic book character, who leads a race of super-powered beings.
Mount also starred opposite Common in TV drama Hell on Wheels.
Confirming the casting news on Tuesday (28Feb17), Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb said, “Anson loves the challenge of playing a character who will only communicate silently. His enthusiasm mixed with his imposing almost regal persona made it easy to see why he is our Black Bolt.”
Last week (ends24Feb17), former Game of Thrones villain Iwan Rheon was cast as Maximus the Mad on the upcoming ABC TV series.
