Bradley Walsh forced to stop filming The Chase while working on Doctor Who

Bradley Walsh has cut back on filming new episodes of The Chase due to his Doctor Who commitments.
The ITV programme sees Bradley preside over four competitors as they try to beat one of five quiz geniuses, Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha or Jenny Ryan, aka The Chaser, to win a prize pot of cash by answering general knowledge questions.
Talking about Bradley’s latest acting gig, as the companion to new Doctor Jodie Whittaker, Anne, also known as The Governess, says that while it’s been a juggling act for the TV star, he’s still committed to The Chase.
“It can be hard going,” she told The Mirror. “The problem this year Bradley has been so unavailable as he has been doing Doctor Who.
“Bradley was very determined that the one thing he was not going to give up was The Chase.”
Fans have noticed a lack of new episodes airing this year, and Anne admits that’s because filming had to be stopped so Bradley could fulfil his Doctor Who duties on rival network BBC.
However, Anne is hopeful the award-winning show will soon resume shooting.
“We stopped filming for a few months when Bradley did Doctor Who. We did some shows in April and June,” she said, adding: “I have not filmed since July.
“As a Doctor Who fan, I am really excited that he is on the show. But as someone who works with him, I do hope we are going to get some time to make new shows.”
Broadchurch actress Jodie makes her debut as the Time Lord in October (18).
